DR. EMI A WORTHY SON OF KALABARI

It’s an open secret that Dr Emi Membere-Otaji was commissioner of health in Rivers in State from 1990 to 2003,within which period all general hospitals in Buguma, Degema and Abonnema were renovated. Buguma had a WHO sponsored Health Centre build by Engr Da Young Arney. Our qualified sons were made to head State EMS and Medical Services in the Ministry of Health. Our daughter made Registrar of the College of Health Science and Technology.
From 2003 to 2005 he was Special Adviser on Privatisation and left back to his business because there was nothing for him to do. Since then to date Dr Emi Membere-Otaji has not benefited in any way or form from government but has been in his private business without interest in political appointments or election and has put his time to support good courses in Kalabari and Rivers State including co founding Kalabari Ijaw Professionals, supporting Kalabari National Day of Thanksgiving, Medical missions etc.And individuals especially in the area of education.
Obviously the faceless authors of this article ,Kalabari Indigenous..have an ulterior motive and should be totally ignored.
